First impressions are everything.

When I bought my house I knew the minute I walked through the front door that it was the house for me. When I meet certain people I instantly like them, without even talking to them. My experience has taught me not to judge a book by its cover. Or in this instance not to judge a person by their CV. Some of the finest sales people I have met have no idea how to write a CV - some are awful! After all we're sales people right, not administrators!

I would love to sit here and say the world we live in is non-judgemental, but first impressions count, and when the hiring manager is glancing through the CV's, the ones that look the part are the ones that will be called in for interview. You will miss out on opportunities however good a sales person you are if your CV isn’t up to scratch.
