Salary Circa £45,000 plus overtime

Description  
Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of technical equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Service Engineer will be expected to travel to client sites, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment. Additionally, the Service Engineer will provide training and support to clients, ensuring they are able to operate and maintain their equipment effectively. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on technical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Travel to client sites to provide on-site support.
  • Implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Provide training and support to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Conduct performance tests to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and submit service reports and documentation.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to emergency service requests in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on client experiences.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel overseas to client sites as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
